Vakantiepark Mölke Wins the Entree Award for “Best New Holiday Concept”!
We are proud to announce that Vakantiepark Mölke is the winner of a prestigious Entree Award in the "Best New Holiday Concept" category! The Entree Awards are among the most prestigious hospitality and leisure awards in the Netherlands. Winning this award is a tremendous recognition of the concept we’ve created together in beautiful Zuna!
The Entree Awards are presented to leading, innovative companies in the hospitality industry. Alongside Mölke, there were four other outstanding hospitality businesses that were in the running for the award in the “Best New Holiday Concept” category. The nominees in this category are either completely new or redesigned and are a great addition to the existing leisure segment. In selecting a winner, factors such as the execution, originality, sustainability, and future-proofing of the concept were taken into account.
During a company visit, the expert jury had the opportunity to see for themselves what a wonderful concept Vakantiepark Mölke on the Regge is. They discussed the future of Mölke, the company's origins, and the park's current status. Of course, the visit concluded with a tour of all the departments and facilities at the vacation park.
The awards were presented on Monday, November 28th, by the 23-member jury at Amsterdam Theater.
A few words of praise from the expert jury (which includes Ron Blaauw, among others):
“A great deal of thought has gone into the concept of ‘slow living.’” Mölke tries to incorporate this into everything, but with a youthful, festival-like atmosphere. They're gradually replacing all the cottages. It looks really cozy. The annual renters have received a comprehensive plan on how to make their cottages more sustainable and how to ensure they fit in with the park’s look and feel. This means the business owners really involve the tenants in the concept. As a result, they also create a very diverse group.
They also considered the little details that appealed to the jury. For example, the playgrounds for children are laid out in such a way that they are always within sight of the restaurants and cafes. This allows parents to sit on the patio while the children are playing. Finally, a vacation resort that’s a real getaway for parents, too. For example, you can also enjoy some cocktails there.
The main restaurant looks beautiful, has a wonderful atmosphere, and every member of the staff greets the guests. They also have a large store that sells local products such as cheese and wine. In the summer, they also have a really good pop-up restaurant on the grounds. Overall, it just looks fantastic: gorgeous nature and beautiful tents (by the Lowlands tent builder). The winner!”
Mölke owes this Entree Award first and foremost to its team. The team that gives it their all every day to bring the Slow Living concept to life in a pleasant and fitting way. Together, they ensure that everyone takes a little bit of Slow Living home with them after their stay at the park. In addition, Mölke owes this wonderful recognition to its long-standing collaborations with partners in the festival industry, local governments, and local businesses—including those in the hospitality sector. By working together and focusing on opportunities, we can put our beautiful region on the map.
Winning this award confirms that, together, we are building something wonderful that is gaining national recognition. That is why we are incredibly proud of this wonderful recognition for Vakantiepark Mölke and are motivated to take Slow Living to the next level!
